It is not recommended to feed dogs with hot, cold, spicy, salty, fatty, sweet and smoked food. The dog must not know what hot dogs, sausages and ham are. There are many owners who can do incredible things for their beloved pets and won’t economize. But in this case, this all is in vain.
Sausage goods are poisoning for dogs. They destroy their liver, and a dog runs the risk of dying at a very young age. After all, we do not know what type of additives is used in sausages to make them look attractive.
You should exclude from a daily diet of your dog the following as well:
1) Broth, even a diet one;
2) Pork – pork is too fatty, what makes a heavy load on the liver;
3) Lamb – also is too fatty for a dog;
4) Raw freshwater fish – most of freshwater fish is contaminated with helminthes (worms). Fish should be boiled and all bones removed;
5) Bones – against the entrenched belief, bones for dogs are fatal.
First, they are not digested. Second, they can cause constipation, bowel perforation, volvulus. Especially dangerous are long bones, which break down into sharp ones. Bones also contribute to a rapid abrasion of teeth;
6) Pasta – does not have any nutritional value, it stretch the stomach and provokes obesity.
7) Alcohol – can lead to a coma and even death;
8) Salt – usually causes dysfunction of a water-electrolyte balance in the body which can lead to muscle cramps and spasms, or congestive heart failure;
9) Peas, beans and other legumes – is not food for a dog. Your dog is not a pig. Dog’s intestine is not able to remove gases.
10) Mushrooms – can contain toxins which damage the liver and kidneys;
11) Chocolate – contains theobromine – a heart stimulant and a diuretic. It can be fatal for a dog;
12) Sugar and sweets – sweets spoil appetite, upset. In addition, they destroy teeth and extremely adversely affect the eyes, which can start to tear;
13) Dough – can be a cause of gas formation and aerocolia, leading to a rupture of the digestive system and hernia;
14) Grapes and raisins – grape is dangerous. It contains some unknown substance that destroys dog’s kidney;
15) Broccoli – is toxic in large quantities;
16) Most fruit pits and seeds – contain cyanogenic glycoside which leads to a poisoning by cyanide. Although the fruit itself is not harmful;
17) Spices – pepper, bay leaf, hot tomato sauce and nutmeg. Nutmeg can cause convulsions and seizures, it also damages the central nervous system;
18) Onion and garlic – contain toxic components – thiosulphate. Onion is more dangerous, because it contains this toxin in larger quantities;
19) Coffee and tea – are dangerous because of caffeine;
20) Human vitamins – especially those that contain iron, damage the liver and kidneys;
21) Potato peelings and green potatoes – contain oxalate, which can harm the digestive, nervous, and urinary systems;
22) Defective, foul dry food – dry food is a very good substrate for microorganisms, which successfully reproduce themselves in case the conditions of storage were not observed;
23) Substandard products – often result not only in gastrointestinal disorders, but are also a cause of food poisoning;
24) Moldy, rotten, sour, foul food – no comment.
